Stress: Addictive and Deadly!
Did you know that the stress of tax time raises accountants’ blood pressure and cholesterol to dangerously high levels? Did you know that stress related accidents cost employers $1,200 per year per employee? Did you know that stress kills by the same biochemical mechanism as does cocaine? Did you know that you are blindly subject to the insidious effects of this stealthy killer on a day to day and hour to hour basis? Stress lurks as an omnipresent danger, yet we seem to ignore the lethal risks of stress because it has become integral in our modern day existence.
Deserving special attention are our Veterans who die by suicide at the rate of 17 per day!
Like a hungry tiger, stress is a vicious killer. So, join Dr. Lennie Mees and ferret out some life saving information about this wily adversary.

Warning! Warning!
While our target is a life well-lived, hazards loom to derail our successful journey. Therefore we provide you with early warnings about wily adversaries to your successful behavior changes. Among them are recidivism, ego defense mechanisms and varying depths of depression.
Use Multiple Tools and Techniques
We introduce you to the concept of behavioral synergy, that the whole of behavior change is greater than the sum of the parts. We encourage you to choose freely among our tools and techniques for your optimal success. As my father used to say, “Using the right tool for the job makes the task much easier.” We direct you to the right tools for your job.
Finding Hope, Joy and Peace!!
We are about to embark upon a journey that I want to last for your lifetime, a journey from the entrapment and paralysis of chronic stress to the freedom you will find in your oasis of personal growth.
As we journey together, not only will you gain the upper hand on your stressors, but you will feel the ecstasy when you make the transition from a suffering, reactive, limiting life to the joys of being proactive and creating a life worth living. It may sound too good to be true, but, before you label me a snake oil salesman, consider this. What if you died and never made the effort?
I made the journey alone, and I skinned my knees along the way. Drawing upon my decades of experience and research, I can help you make your journey quicker, smoother and more enjoyable. Still, the journey can be long and sometimes difficult, but I promise you it will be worth the effort.
What will you find along our journey? At the very least, hope, joy, peace and a better and happier you. Probably much more!

Why do You Get Up in the Morning?
Lennie’s view of health isn’t the linear “exercise and eat your vegetables” axiom. He champions living a well-lived life and shares that having vision, passion and joy may be more important to health than all of the broccoli in the garden. Quoting Bishop Nelson Burroughs, who, in reflecting on why he lived to be 101, said, “I loved my life and the people I served. I had a reason to get up in the morning.” Lennie encourages no one to leave the LCO without identifying why he or she gets up in the morning. So, let’s get busy pursuing that discovery.
